BAKED LEMON PUDDING
Take 5oz. breadcrumbs, 1 pint milk, 1oz. butter, 1 lemon, 2oz. sugar, and 2 eggs. Bring the milk to a boil, stir in the butter, and pour these items hot over the breadcrumbs, then add the sugar and the finely-minced lemon peel. Beat the eggs and stir into the ingredients, and bake for three quarters of an hour. It is sufficient for three or four persons.
