Baked Potatoes
From 1911:
Peel about five good sized potatoes, wash and slice them thin and put about half of them in a pan, then sprinkle salt and pepper over them, also butter, the size of an egg, put the other sliced potatoes on these with the salt, pepper and butter again, then pour on them enough sweet milk to cover them, put in hot oven and cook about an hour.
