BREAD AND JAM FRITTERS
From 1922:
Stale bread, cut it into slices, spread jam on them and soak in milk till soft.
Make a nice batter, dip each piece in it; and fry in boiling fat a nice golden color, and sprinkle them with sugar. Very economical.
