Corn Cakes With Water
Mix 4 cupfuls sifted cornmeal with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon of melted fat, and cold water enough to make a dough which can be shaped with the hands. Mold into thin oval cakes and bake on hot stones in an open fire or on a greased griddle.
