Marzipan Potatoes
From 1922:
Six ounces icing sugar, 4 oz. ground almonds, ¼ teaspoonful orange flower water, ¼ teaspoonful vanilla, white of 1 egg, and a little cocoa.
Mix dry ingredients together, half whip the white of egg, and add it, with the flavoring, to the almonds, etc. Knead all well together, and form into oval potatoes, with imitation eyes marked with the point of a skewer; roll in the cocoa and leave 24 hours to dry.
