MILK CHOCOLATE
From 1922:
Scrape to a powder 1oz. rock chocolate, and mix with 1lb. castor sugar; mix this into a thick paste with cold water, stirring until smooth, then add a little more milk.
Let it simmer for five minutes, stirring all the while, then spread layers or drop small lumps on to greased paper and let stand to cool.
