OYSTERS AND MACARONI
From 1915:
Put boiled macaroni and raw oysters in alternate layers in a buttered baking pan, seasoning each layer with salt, grated lemon rind and a bit of red pepper. Add a small cup of cream, cover the top with bread crumbs and bake in a hot oven. Serve with celery and thin slices of buttered brown bread.
