Peach Trifle

Take 1 tin of peaches, ½ pint cream, 1 teaspoonful lemon juice, 2 oz. crystallised cherries. Arrange the half peaches on a dish and place the cherries over them. Boil the peach syrup and stir in the lemon juice, and when cold pour over the peaches. Whip the cream until stiff and pile on the top of fruit in rough lumps.
