Scraps en Casserole
Take the tail of a steak and any odds and ends of meat and sear them in a frying pan with fat. Slice up two cooked carrots, turnips, cold boiled potatoes and any other vegetables you wish and brown them in the fat in the frying pan. Take juice of a can of tomatoes and half a cup of hot water. Have a beanpot (hot) and put in it a layer of the vegetables, then a layer of meat with the tomato juice. Cook slowly for four hours in the oven. When done make a flour gravy for it. If a regular casserole is used the dish can of course be served from the casserole itself.
