WHEATMEAL GEMS
The gems are made of wheaten meal and milk or milk and water. No salt and no rising need be used. Mix as much wheaten meal as is needed with the milk to a thick batter, and beat it very well; Have the gem irons hot, and grease them with butter. Put in the mixture, and cook in a really hot oven.
